Fall 2018 Message from MGCNHA Director

The goal of the Mississippi Gulf Coast National Heritage Area is to enhance, conserve, promote and provide connectivity among the Coast’s many heritage resources. Our Heritage Community Grants program allows our partners to create projects that tell the area’s nationally significant story to residents and visitors. Residents benefit from increased awareness and appreciation of their environment, history, culture, traditions and lifestyles. We are happy to announce the 2018-2019 Heritage Community Grants award recipients, including our first Gulf Coast Outpost business. Congratulations to all of the recipients. We look forward to watching their projects unfold and add to our economic effects of cultural and nature tourism. Each project benefits our entire region and supports the long-term enhancement and conservation of those qualities that make our Mississippi Gulf Coast unique.
