Picayune Semi-Annual Street Festival

Mississippi makes beautiful music and yields delicious food on the streets of Picayune’s favorite Jubilee each year.

What started as a modest idea in 1996 has organically grown from 6 small businesses to over 300 vendors. The Picayune Street Festival is now held twice a year featuring world class entertainment, collectibles, and activities all wrapped in the southern charm of historic downtown Picayune. The Southern Tourism Association named the festival one of the top 20 in the Southeastern United States.

Take a ride on the Lincoln Express Train or try the trek on foot. Tons of tasty food tents serve ethnic fare ranging from Cajun to Greek to good ‘ole Southern Barbecue. Southern Mississippi’s world class seafood will always be the culinary star of the show, but it’s also worth tasting as many different styles of preparation of the world’s freshest seafood as possible.

Local musicians play a variety of genres all day long on the festival main stage while the artisans design, create, and stage their incredible arts and crafts up and down the main drag. Add some plants to your home’s windowsill inside or transfer them to the garden outside. Small pottery, jewelry, and woodworking make great stocking stuffers. Custom-crafted furniture, metalwork, and paintings make legendary family heirlooms. This year children can experience pony rides and a petting zoo, too. There’s something for all ages and budgets in the many booths, exhibits, and performances at the Picayune Fall Street Festival.
