Horn Island
Horn Island is a beautiful undeveloped island that is a favorite among Mississippi locals. The island is a popular destination for boaters, beachgoers, and wildlife enthusiasts. It is home to a variety of wildlife including alligators, pelicans, raccoons, and herons. The Mississippi Sound and the Gulf also host varied species of marine life.
While the sugar-white beaches attract many beachgoers, it is important to note that both Horn Island and Petit Bois Island are designated as protected wilderness areas. The exotic birds and marine life around both islands are protected. If you decide to make the journey to either Petit Bois Island or Horn Island, remember to do your part in preserving its beautiful wilderness.
