The Municipal Park is a perfect place for birthday parties and reunions and holds a 300 seat amphitheater. Two smaller parks are also located in Lucedale. They are the Lavelett Park and the Benyard Park.

The Lucedale-George County Public Library is a wonderful compliment to the city. It has one national notoriety for being a “little library that could.” The Library sponsors the Mississippi Shakespeare event every two years. During this performance, the Lucedale City Park becomes a host for short scenes from Shakespeare’s works. Local actors transform in to Elizabethan actors, providing music and entertainment for visitors.

For nature lovers, the Lucedale Depot Greenway is a wonderful place to visit for a day or even a lunch break. The area includes walking trails, a handicap accessible boardwalk, and two small fishing ponds. Visitors can also explore the main pavilion, which serves as the main event space for the Lucedale community.
