The Mississippi Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a beautiful black granite memorial built in 1996. The memorial is a tribute to the people who served in the Vietnam War. Two black granite walls face each other, with the names of the 668 Mississippians killed in the war engraved, and photographic images of many of the GIS listed are laser-etched into the granite.

The Veterans Memorial Cemetery, opened in 2011, is a place of rest for some of our nation’s veterans. The cemetery is open from dawn until dusk.
