Merrill Bridge

Merrill Bridge is one of the oldest metal span bridges in the state of Mississippi. Found in George County, the bridge arches over the Pascagoula River. At over 80 years old, it is designated as an official Mississippi Landmark, declared by the state’s Department of Archives and History in 1993.

The bridge is an 828ft through truss bridge, constructed in 1928. Foot traffic is welcome across the bridge, making it a prime spot for fishing and wildlife watching. Fisherman may also try their luck from along the banks below Merrill Bridge. There is a launch for small boats, canoes, and kayaks on the east bank near the bridge.
