The Island School of performing Arts provides face painting. Top notch artisans from Gulfport, the Gulf Coast, and points beyond all converge on Jones Park to show off their stuff. Art booths are in the parking lot west of Barksdale Pavilion.

Revisit the region’s rich history with vintage photos on display throughout the festival grounds from The Historical Society of Gulfport. Explore the Children’s Village with bean bag toss games and bird house building. Learn how turtles, amphibians, and reptiles are rescued. Nearby you’ll hear the sounds of talented musicians both Saturday and Sunday.

Bring your wooden boat to Gulfport Municipal Harbor for the Anchor Fest Boast Show. Displays on land will highlight maritime history of the catboats and schooners of the past all the way up to the seafood industry’s modern ships of today. In the water mariners will showcase their wooden crafts for everyone to see. Break out your finest pirate garb and bring a blanket and chair to beautiful Jones Park.
