Twelve Oaks

Twelve Oaks is the local term for the copious amounts of historic oak trees that can be found along Old Fort Bayou. Many of these trees are believed to be around 400-years young. It is easy to stand in awe of these trees when you are standing beneath one. Along with this stretch of trees is a historic building believed to be an original African American church building from the 1800s. Many local leaders have been trying to decide how to utilize this historic building in the community.Twelve Oaks is located on the north side of Hanley Rd., behind the east branch of Hancock Bank just off US 90 in Ocean Springs.
