Institute for Marine Mammal Studies

The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies (IMMS), located in Gulfport, was established in 1984 for conservation, public education, and research on marine mammals. Research is focused on the care of animals in the wild as well as under supervision during rehabilitation.

IMMS is a leader in its capability and expertise in caring for sick and injured marine life. IMMS also serves as a valuable resource for educational programs on conservation and the study of marine animals in their natural environments. This destination is a favorite spot for family tours, summer camps, and field trips.
